ABOUT ANZAC

Kit & Sheryl Johnson own and manage Silverstream Alpaca Stud, one of the largest and most successful alpaca stud farms in New Zealand. Through careful research and regular visits to Australian and American stud farms and alpaca shows, Silverstream have sourced some of the best alpaca genetics available. Silverstream have focussed on the selection and purchase of superior dams and mated them to the best stud males available.
Kit was raised on a large sheep farm and spent 34 years in tourism retiring in 2004 to focus solely on the raising and management of alpacas. Kit and Sheryl are now living on the family farm of Sheryl's grand parents in Canterbury, New Zealand. Charlotte their eldest daughter and Lloyd their son are both passionate about alpacas and have participated in junior judging and travelled extensively throughout Australia with their parents in search of superior genetics.
Silverstream honestly believe they have some of the best genetics available in the world and the success of their breeding programme can be seen through their highly successful show results.

Viracocha Alpacas is owned by Dominic Lane which is one of the most renowned Australian alpaca studs that specialise in breeding black Huacaya and Suri Alpacas.
Dominic is a qualified A.A.A. Judge that has judged throughout Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France and the UK.
Established in 1995, Viracocha Alpacas made the decision to focus on breeding black alpacas, to preserve and improve the quality of this rare and sought after colour.
The stud name was chosen after Viracocha, the Inca god of creation: this symbolises their dedication to breeding the perfect black alpaca.
At Viracocha, the main focus is breeding for fineness, density, fleece character, conformation and temperament.
Viracocha are now breeding superfine fleeces ranging from 17-22 micron.
This has been accomplished by a strict, selective breeding programme using elite breeding females and black and fawn stud sires chosen for their advanced fleece traits.
Viracocha Alpacas have been awarded Supreme Championship's and various Broad and place ribbons throughout the Australian show circuit including the Royal Sydney, Royal Melbourne and the prestigious A.A.A. National Show.
Viracocha believe strongly in the improvement of the black alpaca, it's end product and are breeding for the long term of the industry.
Viracocha have exported their alpacas to New Zealand and the UK and are renowned for their honest, professional advice and after sales service.

Sandjo Alpacas is a family owned business which is primarily run by Sandra Kop. Sandra purchased her first 2 pregnant females in 1996 and now manages a herd of over 150 alpacas.
With a very careful and selective breeding programme, Sandjo now have some of Australia's most highly awarded alpacas that have gained championships across four states.
Sandjo is highly regarded by International and local purchasers for top quality breeding and exceptional after sales service.
Sandjo have exported their alpacas throughout New Zealand, Germany, Scotland, Switzerland and England.
Sandjo are highly focused on the breeding of high quality alpacas through the use of superior genetics and their full time ET programme.
